It is with great pride that we welcome you to our website.
This fine organization celebrated its 130th Anniversary in October 2007 and continues toward other future events. This organization has had its history enhanced by such honors as having the great John Phillip Sousa compose the "Black Horse Troop March". The Cavalry has, in it's glory days, escorted Presidents, Governors and other dignitaries in the Nation's Capital and other local cities. The reason for such requests were because of the beautiful and handsome Black Horses which the Troopers rode. From its founding to its conclusion, the First Cleveland Cavalry Association will carry on to support the names of its Association and those of the parent and successor units of the 107th Cavalry.
Our Mission
We ask that you enjoy reading our various sections and topics of interest. We the organization will be addressing, updating, and keeping you informed of issues that might be of help to you.
We will be keeping you abreast of changes by providing links to other military and service organizations. We will also, with your help, be ongoing in our search for past members of the regiment who would like to join, and commiserate with us and provide insight into the past.
